Ann has been teaching the extended day kids about oil and how it affects the environment. She mixed oil and water together to show how the oil floats to the top. Then the kids made birds and dipped them in vegetable oil, to teach them about how they can’t fly anymore when their wings get soaked.

The Oldest Group is plugging away at the play for graduation. Last week they completed all 26 costumes…which included tye-dying, wing making, and claws.
This week they are working on all 4 sets. The play predominantly takes place in 4 places, so they have been constructing trees for the rain forest, clouds, a sun, all 8 planets + stars, pyramids and a cactus. This week they will be doing waves and a tornado. They could not ...

Ok, I admit this video is super long (10 minutes!) but I couldn’t help fall head over heels for Richard’s Cookie Monster Impersonation.
For days Richard drew outlines of the kids. He hung them all up around the classroom, had the kids cut “hearts” out of red paper, and they then stuck the hearts to their own paper outline. Next was adding blood – they drew lines from the heart ...
