By Subway

We are a 20 minute walk from the Porter Square T stop (Red Line).

1. Cross Somerville Ave from Porter Square toward White Street (between Target & CVS Pharmacy).
2. Head down White Street.
3. Cross Elm Street and go up Hancock Street.
4. Turn right at Summer Street.

Summer Street Preschool is a half mile up Summer Street, on the corner of Summer and Spring streets, across the street from St. Catherine’s Church.

We are a 15 minute walk from the Magoun Square stop (Green Line E).

1. Head south by southwest from Magoun Square stop on Lowell Street.
2. Cross Highland Ave and continue on Lowell Street.
3. Turn left at Summer Street.
4. Summer Street Preschool will be on your right after a short walk.

Summer Street Preschool is a few hundred feet up Summer St, on the corner of Summer and Spring streets, across the street from St. Catherine’s Church.

By Bus

Buses that run parallel to the school on Summer St or Highland Ave include:

Bus 83 – Rindge Ave. – Central Sq., Cambridge via Porter Square Station
Bus 87 – Arlington Center or Clarendon Hill – Lechmere Station via Somerville Ave
Bus 88 – Clarendon Hill – Lechmere Station via Highland Avenue
Bus 90 – Wellington Station via Sullivan Square Station & Assembly Mall

By Bike

Summer Street has bike lanes, and there is space in front of the school to park on the sidewalk, or on our front yard. We do not have dedicated bike racks however.

By Car

There is street parking for Somerville residents on the side streets near the school, particularly Spring Street. The school driveway is reserved for staff and daily parent helpers.
