Snack Guide

We are a completely nut free zone. Read ingredients carefully to make sure that there are NO tree nuts or peanuts. Do not bring in any food items which state “May contain traces of”. Allergies can be life threatening so be absolutely sure before buying.

Families bring snack to school 9-10 times a year. Please bring snack between 8:30 and 9:00. There is no need to peel or cut in advance. All dry goods are supplied by the school.

Snack inspirations follow; feel free to improvise.

Monday

  • Sunflower butter
  • Bananas: 3 large or 4 medium-sized bunches

Tuesday

  • Cheese (cheddar only): 2 blocks, 1 lb each
  • Vegetable (pick one)
    • Carrots: 2 bags (full size carrots only)
    • Celery: 2 bags
    • Sugar snap peas: 1 lb
    • Corn on the cob: 25
    • Cucumbers: 20 small

Wednesday

  • Jam
  • Fruit (pick one; no grapes)
    • Apples/Pears: 15-20
    • Bananas: 3 large or 4 medium-sized bunches
    • Kiwi: 8
    • Melons: 3
    • Watermelon: 1 large
    • Plums/Apricots: 20-25

Thursday

  • Cream Cheese
  • Fruit (pick one)
    • Apples/Peaches/Pears: 15-20
    • Bananas: 3 large or 4 medium-sized bunches
    • Kiwi: 8
    • Melons: 3
    • Watermelon: 1 large
    • Plums/Apricots: 20-25

Friday

  • Hummus
  • Vegetable (pick one)
    • Carrots: 2 bags (full size carrots only)
    • Celery: 2 bags
    • Sugar snap peas: 1 lb
    • Corn on the cob: 25
    • Peppers (red, orange, or yellow): 10 – 12
